"The Value for Money Support methodology and Benchmarking toolkit we developed working with Kate McAllister and Matrix have enabled us to obtain a benchmarked and evidenced measurement of the performance of our housing-related support services and given us data that has allowed us to work with our providers to drive up quality and drive down costs.

The methodology and toolkit are enabling the development of a fit-for-purpose investment strategy for housing-related support that will lead to increased value and efficiency and improved delivery outcomes.

The cost of service provision has been brought in line with set parameters:

• Right quality (fit for purpose), strategically relevant housing-related support
• Planned, managed and delivered with due regard to the risks involved
• Delivered competitively, efficiently and effectively through streamlined processes to meet the needs of local people at the right time
• Overall service levels are affordable to the tax payer

To provide continuous improvement in housing-related support, efficiency savings will be optimised and secured quickly in order to release funds for where we have gaps in provision or where remodelling is required."
