Luton Borough Council commissioned Kate McAllister to undertake sensitivity analysis. This involved developing a sensitivity tool which enabled the authority to review the impact of reshaping services and implementing savings
Kate has acknowledged expertise in the field of value for money and is the author of several positive-practice guides developed for Supporting People commissioners.
In partnership with Matrix, Kate developed the Communities and Local Government Cost Modelling Tool and VFMSupport, a web-based tool designed to enable local authority commissioners to obtain clear information about the cost effectiveness of local services and to improve overall value for money.
More recently Kate has worked with Supporting People commissioners and providers to assist with future commissioning decisions in the light of budget cuts following local authority funding announcements, providing sensitivity analysis and assistance with a range of cost modelling scenarios.
Working in partnership with the HGO and Amber Green consultancies Kate has just launched another web-based tool called Smart Support Decisions, a powerful and flexible tool enabling commissioners to conduct intuitive sensitivity analysis.
