Kate designed and delivered a training module for Adult Social Care staff which has allowed us to respond effectively to the evolving Personalisation agenda. Kate’s inclusive approach was crucial in developing a meaningful programme when the national picture was not yet fully formed
Kate is a skilled report writer with extensive experience of drafting major reports for a variety of audiences.
- Kate and Merron Simpson have been commissioned by the Department of Health Housing Learning Improvement Network to draft a paper called ‘Practical advice for the current moment’ designed to help people cut through the confusion around Personalisation, gain awareness of the new possibilities and navigate a course through the changing context. This will be published in May 2011.
- Kate is currently carrying out a major evaluation of the well-publicised Family Mosaic: Personalisation - Let Me Choose! pilot to be published in summer 2011.
- Kate McAllister worked with the 13 Individual Budget Pilot sites, CLG, CSIP, Department of Health and the Housing Corporation to identify and share good practice and to help to overcome obstacles to effective delivery in respect of these two key funding streams. The resulting report was published by CLG in March 2008.
- Kate was commissioned by the Department for Communities and Local Government to collate evidence of good practice and gather suggestions for improving the experience of service users and social care staff from across the 13 Individual Budget pilot sites and other local authorities. Her report was published in March 2009 and launched nationally via a series of conferences funded by the LGA.
